Breaking: ADC Crisis Deepens As Lukman Blasts Elrufai, Carpets Amaaechi

...Quits coalition

The crisis in the ADC-led opposition coalition has assumed a new dimension  as former APC Vice Chairman, Salihu Moh. Lukman, announced his suspension of activities from the party and the coalition, directly blaming Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and his Kaduna allies for the decision.

In a strongly-worded letter to ADC National Chairman, Sen. David Mark , copied to coalition leaders, Lukman said he could no longer endure the "painful hostile treatment" meted out to him.

"So long as decisions about leadership representation from Kaduna will continue in a manner that reduced me to the status of a bastard, it is better I excuse myself from both the coalition and the party," Lukman wrote.

The Kaduna chieftain accused El-Rufai and his supporters of making him "the problem" despite spending over a year trying to unite leaders in the state.

He also took a swipe at former Minister *Rotimi Amaechi*, alleging he was "on overdrive mode" and reaching out to people from Kaduna with "questionable commitment."

"Whatever he wants to do with them is certainly not about building the party into a strong Democratic Party,"  Lukman stated, warning that the ADC was being "incrementally reduced to a marginal participant in the 2027 elections."

Lukman said his decision "has nothing to do with my official relationship with you as National Chairman" but was purely due to "disdainful treatment" from some coalition leaders in Kaduna.

He appealed to Mark and other leaders to "please respect my decision" as he takes time to "reflect and decide" what he would want to do with his life.
