A Kaduna-based support and advocacy group, Makarfi Ambassadors, has joined thousands of well-wishers across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State in celebrating the 69th birthday of former Governor and elder statesman, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.

In a press statement jointly signed by the group’s Chairman, Comrade Ahmed Abdullahi, and Secretary, Engr. Aina Bolade, Senator Makarfi was hailed as “an icon of democracy and an exemplary leader” known for his dedication to youth and women empowerment, as well as inclusive development irrespective of tribe, religion, or status.

“Little wonder he governed Kaduna with a human face,” the statement read.

The group emphasized that although Senator Makarfi no longer holds elective office, his enduring legacy of peace, unity, and developmental leadership continues to resonate across the state and beyond.

They lauded his achievements and character during his tenure as Governor of Kaduna State and later as a Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial District, describing him as a man whose “contributions to the democratic development of our dear state and country can never be forgotten.”

“Makarfi has remained that desirable man of the people—a symbol of selfless service and purposeful leadership,” the group added.

The statement concluded with heartfelt birthday wishes, praying for continued good health, long life, and many more years of impactful service to humanity for the elder statesman.
