Group Slams Senator Lawal Adamu Over “Cheap Political Distractions” Against Gov. Uba Sani
A Kaduna-based political pressure group, Capacity Movement of Kaduna State, has berated Senator Lawal Adamu, popularly known as Mr. LA, over what it described as “cheap publicity stunts and political distractions” targeted at the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani.
In a statement issued to journalists in Kaduna and signed by its Convener, Shehu Sani Sado, the group accused Senator Adamu of engaging in unnecessary attacks on the governor in a desperate bid to “regain public sympathy” after what it described as his failure to make meaningful impact at the National Assembly.
“The public is not even aware of any tangible thing Senator Lawal Adamu has done since he got to the Senate. His recent outbursts are nothing but lazy man’s distractions aimed at cheap popularity,” the statement read.
The group further alleged that the senator, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is already making moves to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“All his actions are politically motivated. After PDP gave him the ticket that made him senator, he now wants to run back to APC. Instead of focusing on his mandate at the Senate, he is busy trying to distract the governor, who is working tirelessly for the people of Kaduna State,” it added.
The Capacity Movement warned Senator Adamu to desist from what it called “baseless attacks” on the state government, insisting that Governor Uba Sani should not be distracted from his development agenda.
“Governor Uba Sani should not waste his time on a failed lawmaker like Mr. LA. He has nothing to contribute to the progress of Kaduna State and should not be allowed to derail the ongoing reforms,” the group declared.
