Birthday: Makarfi Ambassadors Congratulate Ex Governor Makarfi @ 68

Kaduna based Group under aegis of he Makarfi Ambassadors heartily celebrates the Former Governor of Kaduna State and current Secretary Board of Trustees of People's Democratic Party (PDP),  Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, CON, on his 68 birthday anniversary.

According to the group, Senator Makarfi's exemplary leadership informed its decision to join all citizens of Kaduna State and Members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Nigeria to celebrate the former lawmaker and National Chairman of PDP to celebrate him today.

The Makarfi Ambassadors in a press statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Ahmed and Director, Planning/Research, Engr. Bolade Aina, eulogized Senator Makarfi for his invaluable contributions to the growth and  development of Kaduna and Nigerian while he served in various capacity of leadership.

The statement reads: “The Makarfi Ambassadors are proud to identify with his strong character and achievements as one of the foundation pillars of the PDP and architect of the peace and tranquility citizens and residents of are enjoying today . 

"We recalled the manner he steered and  managed affairs of the PDP in Kaduna and National level ; the purposeful leadership direction provided and frantic efforts to keep the afloat as major opposition party .

"It was evident that under his Administration, Kaduna State witnessed relative peace, growth and rural development with clear cut  policies and programmes the resulted into concrete dividends of democracy for his people.

“We are happy to join well meaning Nigerians to thank Allah for the good health and agility,as  he marks his birthday. 

"We also pray the Allah continue to guide and  grant him many more years of continued services to this nation and mankind. "

Senator Makarfi was born on the 8th of August, 1956 in Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. As a governor, legislator, accountant, banker and teacher; he has deployed high sense of commitment to nation building. 

Senator Makarfi was elected  as Governor of Kaduna State and served two terms of four years in office from 1999 – 2007 before proceeding the National Assembly as the Senator that represented Kaduna North Senator is District.
