Fadojoe commends president Tinubu on the new Int'l Passport Policy, Humanitarian Ministry probe, as he raised alarm last year November.

Comrade Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (FADOJOE), the national leader of Rescue Movement For New Nigeria aka Rescue The Vulnerable Initiative, who in a statement made available to pressmen, precisely November 16, 2023; had raised alarm over what he alleged then as "immigration racketeering" resulting in Nigerians been exploited during the process of obtaining International Passport and on other issues bordering on corruption in governance.

But in another statement made available to pressmen in Kaduna State, on Thursday January 11, 2024 by the National Director of Media and Publicity for the group, the activist popularly called Fadojoe has commended the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) led federal government of Nigeria for the prompt response in the implementation of the policy that will ensure effective curbing of any kind of racketeering, as relate to the issue of International Passport; which resulted in an International Passport processing portal been officially released to the public on Monday, January 8, 2024; as well as the suspension and probe of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Chimaobim Edu.

"Opposition is not just about criticism, but when the government gets it right, there is need to commend such efforts, if truly what we are after is good governance. On this note, the leadership and the entire members of Rescue Movement For New Nigeria aka Rescue The Vulnerable Initiative, hereby commend the President Bola Tinubu led administration on the new policy for International Passport seamless processing.

"Those following our various statements always made available to pressmen for both mainstream and new media, will recall that on 16th November, 2023 I had raised alarm that Nigerians are been exploited during the process of International Passport and in some of our statements, we had raised lamentation over the gross corruption bedeviling our dear country, Nigeria.

"All Nigerians following the trend of events in Nigeria will agree that the handling of the International Passport processing and the suspension and probe of Betta Edu deserve commendation." 

Fadojoe thus, called on the present government to do more to make Nigerians proud of their country. "This commendation doesn't mean that everything has fallen in line yet, because there is still many ground to cover if Nigerians must enjoy good governance. And we urge president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of his cabinet to give their best in delivery of dividends of democracy as the country has sank too deep and needs to be rescued as a matter of urgency.


It is of note that, the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, had announced in December that the Federal Government was working to ensure a full automation system of passport application in the country. This came to fruition on Monday January 8, 2024 as the, the Minister launched the first online portal for Nigerian International Passport application in Abuja.

This online portal has made the processing of International Passport seamless that any Nigerian can now apply for his/her International Passport online, pay the exact required fee online and book for capturing appointment without passing through any middle person or any immigration officer. 

Also Betta Chimaobim Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation was on Tuesday January 9, 2024 invited by the EFCC for questioning over the controversial approval she was alleged ti have given for payment of about N585 million of public money into a personal bank account and she was suspended to face probe and the Permanent Sectary, Enitan takes over.
