Zangon Kataf Constituency: Victoria Yohana, ADC House of Assembly candidate

It is no longer news that the 2023 general elections are here for eligible voters in Nigeria to go out and cast their votes to candidates of their choice. It is not the issue of electing candidates but how voters will carefully without being emotion on who to cast their votes to, it is an issue of electing who will represent the constituency very well so that dividends of democracy will not only be seen but every nook and cranny is carried along in the distribution of social amenities and what is meant for all.

Zangon Kataf Constituency in Kaduna state House of Assembly is an area well known for the calibre of people it produces because the area is well blessed with highly experienced, exposed and have what it takes to lead not only the Constituency but the state and the country as a whole.

Mrs Victoria Yohanna is a name that rings a bell in the state. A woman and a mother. Women, however, are known to be compassionate, kind, prudent, sincere, trustworthy and as a result, she has voluntarily after people's persuasions for her to represent the constituency in the election, she has, therefore, accepted to contest the House of Assembly on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) to ensure her people are carried along in the state decision making that will enhance the living standards of the people and ensure peace, unity and development for the entire citizens.

As a retired civil servant, who has served the state and country meritoriously, she has the ability, experience and technical know how to effectively mobilise and work as a true representative of her constituency in ensuring that their aspirations are fully implemented. It is worthy of note that

since 1999, Zonzon Ward, where she come from has not been represented in the House of Assembly, whereas some Wards have been represented twice. If elected, Victoria Yohana, has all her life proved to be a woman that carries the people along in any assignment given to her and has not failed on her part to share the meagre resources to those around her.

She has come up with a blueprint that if elected, it will be a different package from the normal poverty alleviation besides ensuring laws are made in favour of her people as well using herself as a woman, ensure her people benefit immensely from the state government projects.

Born on 12th November, 1955, in the present Kaura local government area, Mrs Victoria Yohana got marriage to her husband in Zonzon ward of Zangon Kataf local government area.

She served the Kaduna state meritoriously and retired from the state government in 2008, after putting in 35 years of service without finding her wanting in her duties.

 

After her retirement from the civil service, she joined active politics and became a founding member of APC in Zangon Kataf Local Government in which she contested State Assistant Publicity Secretary - 2014, Member Kaduna State House of Assembly - 2015, APC National assignment, among others. 

She was a Board Member, Kaduna State Water Services Regulatory 

Commission (KWSRSC) - 2016-2021, she participated in the 2019 general elections as the Deputy National Coordinator (North) Buhari/Osinbajo Mandate Group 

(BOMG), State Coordinator, Women for Buhari and Osinbajo, Deputy State Chairman, APC, National Youth Caucus and

Member, Presidential Campaign Council (Women Mobilization).
