Niger Guber Race: Over 25 Thousand Members of APC  Dump Party for PDP 
...says APC has  Failed People of Niger State  


As the 2023 general elections draw nearer, over 25 thousand members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State have defected to the main opposition party People's Democratic Party (PDP) in order to work for Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi,who is the PDP Guber candidate.

According to the defectors , the ruling party APC has failed people of Niger State in all ramifications of governance and leadership. Stressing,"To remain in such a party that has failed the people would be detrimental to not only to our  future, but also that of our unborn children".

In a Press Statement by  Alh Mukhtar Hassan (Yawuri), the defectors said ,"We are saddled with one mission, which is  to mobilise electorate across the state  for Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi of PDP to defeat APC candidate during the Governorship elections. 

They further explained reasons to leave APC now ."We cannot afford to watch situations get worst ,thus our decision to leave APC and move to a better party and candidate,who can win election and use the office fairly to work for our dear state .

"Our people now know that President Muhammadu Buhari will no longer be on the ballot papers, so they are willing to part ways with the party that has caused them severe pains over problems of  insecurity;ravaging banditry and economic downturn that have become everyday hard pills to swallow .

"We thought we voted for enhanced security; better welfare  and improved employment generation and other dividends of democracy ,but the reverse is the case .Our people are improverished, hunger has become a normal thing with signs of no soccour in hand .

"We have Great confidence in the PDP governorship candidate and the caliber of people surrounding him such as Hon. Abdullahi Maibasira ,who is a core PDP member with pedigree as Former National PDP youth leader and Financial Secretary.

"Maibasira is one man that  has carried people and demonstrated sense of good leadership, when he was in position as youth leader and financial Secretary of PDP.

In a chat with Hon. Maibasira on the chances of the PDP candidate during 2023 Guber race in Niger State, he said," Our people now know the truth and the truth shall set them free".

"The  Guber election would be an easy win for PDP candidate ,Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi because,he's the popular choice of the people and the best candidate to deliver Niger State from shackles of bad leadership and economic backwardness. 

He However, urged the Electorate to consider only the best choice of the moment by voting Kantigi into power as Niger State Governor come 2023.
