 2023 Presidential Elections : North-East, Nigerians Fully Behind Atiku , Says Mbaya 



Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Northern based group,under umbrella of Atiku Success Movement (ASM)North-east chapter revealed that the entire North-East citizens and progressive Nigerians are fully behind the People's Democratic Party's  Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

According to group, the former Vice President is the only candidate amongst all the contenders jostling for the highly coveted seat of the President ,who has the requisite capacity , connections and experience to hit the ground running from day  if he wins the election.

"We took a tour of the north and other five geo-political zones across the country and from our findings ,it was discovered that Atiku is not only the most  popular, but also the preferred even amongst the masses". The group stated .

Briefing journalists on the need for Nigerians to consider future of the country in terms sustainable growth and development ,the Coordinator of the group ,  Engineer Ezekiel G. Mbaya said the era of "Try and Error" is over , especially for anyone for the position of the president .

He further said , "Nigerian can't afford to have someone with regional or state experience of leadership to capture power and begin to tell us stories again .

"The ruling All Progressives Congress has failed  ,so we can't accept take risk from its candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu  and the main contender , Peter Obi has only governed Anambra State .

"This is the lines of thoughts of most Nigerians right now who have suffered untold hardship occasioned by mass unemployment , banditry, harsh economic conditions and high level of insecurity ravaging all the geo-political zones.

"So, we are a group ,which is made up of leaders ,women, and youths from the Christian and Muslim religious divide in the North-East urged electorate to vote Atiku for President."

While stating that Atiku’s choice followed the  adoption of a research report by our technical team  where Atiku emerged as the best after the evaluation of all the presidential candidates,he  however, pointed out that the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and the Labour Party, LP, are strong contenders for the presidency in the future.

He therefore  urged Nigerians to support the PDP in its quest to return to power in 2023.
