Sokoto APC Blasts Tambuwal over N14bn Unpaid Gratuity, Pension Debt The Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambasted the immediate past administration of former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for leaving behind a whopping N14 billion unpaid gratuity and pension debt for retirees in the state. Addressing a press conference in Sokoto, the state APC Chairman, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, alleged that the former governor had, despite collecting N16 billion Federal Government funds meant to offset the dues, failed to channel the resources as directed. Achida described the development as one of the "startling monumental failures" that characterized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government of Tambuwal, which left a "dismal record of performance in all spheres of socio-economic development" in the state.
